Terms of Service

Welcome to lylai (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"). The Service is provided by Cheng-I Wu (hereinafter referred to as "I"). Please read the following terms carefully before using the Service. By registering for or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

The Service is an event management tool that provides features including event creation, registration, check-in, seating assignment, agenda management, and business card exchange. The Service is available as a mobile application (iOS / Android) and via the web.

2. Account and Registration

  1. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. Minors under the age of 18 must obtain consent from a legal guardian.
  2. You may register using your Email, Apple ID, or Google Account.
  3. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and must not share them with others. You are solely responsible for any damages resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
  4. The personal information you provide must be accurate and complete. You should update it promptly if any changes occur.

4. Event Organizer Responsibilities

  1. Organizers bear full responsibility for the content of their events, including the accuracy and legality of event information.
  2. Organizers who collect attendee personal data through the Service must comply with the Personal Data Protection Act and properly manage such data.
  3. Organizers must not use the Service to conduct fraud, illegal fundraising, or any other unlawful activities.

5. Intellectual Property

The interface design, source code, trademarks, and related intellectual property of the Service are owned by me. The intellectual property rights of content you upload through the Service (event data, personal information) remain yours. However, you grant me a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use such content as necessary to provide and improve the Service. This license terminates upon deletion of your account.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  1. The Service is provided "as is." I do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  2. I am not responsible for the content of events created by organizers, nor for the actual conduct of such events.
  3. I shall not be liable for any service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure events (including but not limited to natural disasters, system failures, or third-party service outages).
  4. My total liability for damages arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid. During any period of free service, such liability shall not exceed NT$1,000.

7. Service Modification and Termination

  1. I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated in advance.
  2. If you seriously violate these Terms, I may immediately suspend or terminate your account. For other violations, I will provide 7 days' notice before taking action.
  3. You may delete your account at any time through the App. After account deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

8. Fees and Refunds

  1. The Service offers a free plan and paid plans (including single event add-ons, capacity upgrades, Feature Upgrade Packs, and subscription plans). Single event add-ons may be used to either "Add a new event slot" or "Upgrade existing event capacity." The features and pricing of each plan are listed on the "Plan Management" page within the App and on the Plan Comparison page.
  2. All paid transactions are processed through Apple App Store In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's payment terms.
  3. Subscription plans auto-renew. You may cancel your subscription at any time through Apple's "Settings." After cancellation, access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  4. Before making a purchase, you must check the boxes agreeing to the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy to complete the transaction.
  5. Refunds are handled in accordance with my Refund Policy and Apple's refund policy. Single event add-ons (including new slots and capacity upgrades) and Feature Upgrade Packs may be refunded through the App's self-service refund feature within 7 days of purchase, provided no check-ins have been recorded.
  6. My liability for damages caused by defects in the Service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid. During any period of free service, such liability shall not exceed NT$1,000.

9. Amendments to These Terms

If these Terms are amended, I will publish the updated effective date on this page. Material amendments will be communicated via App notification. If you do not agree with the amendments, you may delete your account and discontinue use of the Service before the amendments take effect. Continued use of the Service after the amendments become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For disputes arising from these Terms, both parties agree to first pursue resolution through consumer dispute mediation procedures. If mediation fails, the Taipei District Court of Taiwan shall serve as the court of first instance, unless otherwise provided by law.
