Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all paid products and services purchased through the lylai App. This Policy is established in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Reasonable Exceptions to the Right of Rescission in Distance Transactions, and Apple's applicable terms of service.

1. Product Types

2. Consumer Protection Rights Statement

Pursuant to Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan), consumers who purchase goods or services through distance transactions may rescind the contract within seven (7) days of receiving the goods or accepting the service, by returning the goods or providing written notice, without stating a reason and without bearing any costs or charges.

Important Notice: All paid products of this Service are transacted through Apple App Store In-App Purchase. In accordance with Apple's terms of service, refund requests should be submitted to Apple (see Section 5 below). I (Cheng-I Wu) additionally provide an in-app self-service refund mechanism as extra consumer protection.

3. Single Event Add-on & Feature Upgrade Pack Refunds

3.1 In-App Self-Service Refund (Within 7 Days)

After purchasing a single event add-on (Basic or Flagship) or a Feature Upgrade Pack, you may request a self-service refund through the App within 7 days of purchase, provided both of the following conditions are met:

  1. Within the refund period: The request is submitted within 7 days (168 hours) of purchase completion.
  2. No check-ins have been recorded: No attendees of the event have completed check-in (i.e., checked_in_at is empty).

3.3 Refund Amount

In-app self-service refunds will be issued for the full purchase amount. The refund will be processed through the original Apple purchase channel.

4. Subscription Plans (Plus / Pro) Cancellation & Refunds

Refunds for subscription plans are handled according to Apple's refund policy. To request a refund, please submit a request through Apple as described in Section 5.

Free Trial: If Apple offers a free trial period, you may cancel the subscription at any time during the trial without being charged. Billing begins automatically after the trial period ends.

5. Requesting a Refund Through Apple

All In-App Purchases through the App Store are processed by Apple Inc. You may request a refund from Apple within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with Apple's refund policy.

  3. Find the purchase in question and tap "Report a Problem."
  4. Select the reason for the refund and submit.

7. Special Circumstances

7.1 Purchases Caused by Technical Issues

If a consumer dispute arises due to a technical issue with the App (such as duplicate charges or features not properly activated), please contact me immediately. I will assist in resolving the issue within 3 business days of receiving notification.

7.2 Accidental Purchases

If you accidentally purchase an unintended product, you may request a self-service refund through the App within 7 days of purchase (subject to the conditions listed in Section 3), or request a refund through Apple.

7.3 Purchases by Minors

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code of the Republic of China (Taiwan), purchases made by persons of limited capacity (aged 7 to under 18) without the consent of a legal guardian may be rescinded by the legal guardian. If such a situation arises, please contact me for assistance.

8. Consumer Dispute Resolution

If you have any dispute regarding a purchase or refund, I recommend the following steps in order:

  1. Contact me: Explain the situation using the contact information below. I will respond and assist as promptly as possible.
  2. Request a refund from Apple: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a request.
  3. Consumer dispute mediation: If the issue remains unresolved, you may file a complaint with the consumer service center of your local city/county government, or apply for consumer dispute mediation through the Executive Yuan's Consumer Protection Committee. Consumer hotline: 1950.
  4. Legal proceedings: If mediation fails, the Taipei District Court of Taiwan shall serve as the court of first instance, unless otherwise provided by law.

9. Policy Amendments

If this Refund Policy is amended, I will publish the updated effective date on this page. Amended refund terms shall not apply retroactively; purchases already completed shall remain subject to the Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase. Material amendments will be communicated via App notification.
